radio2

Hooray tomorrow we're doing the first CFYE radio show. Since our relaunch Crack for your Ears is doing pretty damn good. On a weekly basis we're recieving tons of tracks from labels and artists from across the globe. Our estabilshed partner deal with the good friends from zero" (hottest record store for electronic music out there) has givin us the oppertunity to offer our visitors a rich sonic experience.

A couple of weeks ago we received a phone call from DJbroadcast if we were interested in doing a radio show as part of the Red Bull Music Academy radio studio in the Sugar Factory here in Amsterdam. Well, that's an easy question, and before we knew it we got our slot up and runnin. The studio and platform is not completly 100% up and running, but we don't care. It's all about the music, and it feels good to have another channel to facilitate all the good music, labels and artists who're supporting us (or just make damn good music).

During the show we will be focussin on inspiring electronic music in general. Whether it be brand new or a cool house track from the past, it's all good to us. As we're all about supporting the artists every track is bought (well sponsored by zero"), so the artist will maximum benefit (at least we try). It's the first show for us ever, so it could turn out pretty interesting, if you know what I mean.

Listen to it live on sunday the 9th of may from around 21.00 till 23.00 on the DJboradcast website (and click on "start radio player").

An exclusive CFYE Red Bull type of widget will follow soon, as well as the tracklist will appear after the show.

As you've hopefully noticed a lot of our sites have been changing lately! Crack for your eyes got a re-design and better categorisation, Crack for your ears is totally renewed and now CFYE got some style changes as well! We're working on a totally renewed CFYE site, but in the meantime we added some options to the current site. So what changed? Well first of all a bit of design, second we added some social options. You can now place comments, log-in (to subscribe to our newsletter and place comments directly) and send our articles straight to your favorite social networksite. Last, we also changed the categorisation a bit so hopefully the website is clearer to navigate right now. If you find any bugs or have any comments, don't hesitate to contact us!

It hasn't been long since crackforyoureyes.com got re-designed from a image slideshow to a full-on street art weblog, but we thought it was already time for the first redesign! Next to a clearer, better loading design we also did our very best to get all the content well categorized for your browsing pleasure. Check it out at http://www.crackforyoureyes.com. Of course, feedback, tips and material are always welcome.

So you might have heard something buzzing about a CFYE event in your school corridors. We don't know where it's coming from but we already heard rumors about stripclubs and people asking if they can join the afterparty @ Kaymir's place if they bring a keg. Well let me tell you the real deal then! The 7th of November it's time for 'Lift', a monthly party/club night which is thrown in Restaurant/Lounge/Club/ Canvas (Amsterdam). This edition will be a special one as it's part of the official Museumnight afterparties! CFYE will be responsible for the art exposition that will be up in Canvas for a month, so at the same time the 7th of November is also our exposition opener!

Gary from Untitled streetart gave us the heads up about a new streetart book they're doing which will launch august 2009. We will let you know more about it when it's there, 'till then, here's some info from the makers themselves.

It started like this . . .

Man goes to Bethlehem in 2007 to witness Santa's Ghetto, sees the light, returns and has a dream to spread the gospel via the printed word.

edward

It might not be a secret that we at CFYE are huge fans of fine-art/fine ladies/wedding photographer Edward Olive. After reading loads of Flickr comments, doing an article on- and an editorial with Edward, it became quite clear that he does not get the recognition a photographer of his level deserves. That's why we were happy to receive notice in our mail that Edward Olive has been selected as a candidate for the prestigious Hasselblad Masters Award in the category weddings!

Our friends from the dutch creative collective VAgE gASTEN are the pride of Austrian homosexual fashion guru Brüno, the new order of the runways hailed them in as saviors of the fashion industry..They are the ones who are responsible that the sunny beaches of 2009 look so damn fashionable.

The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
