So you might have heard something buzzing about a CFYE event in your school corridors. We don't know where it's coming from but we already heard rumors about stripclubs and people asking if they can join the afterparty @ Kaymir's place if they bring a keg. Well let me tell you the real deal then! The 7th of November it's time for 'Lift', a monthly party/club night which is thrown in Restaurant/Lounge/Club/ Canvas (Amsterdam). This edition will be a special one as it's part of the official Museumnight afterparties! CFYE will be responsible for the art exposition that will be up in Canvas for a month, so at the same time the 7th of November is also our exposition opener!
Even though it's an ocean out there, filled with creatives, it seems like real talent always finds a way to the surface. We already told you quite a bit about the talent we feature today: Liliwenn. Liliwenn was our artist of the week for the exact same reason we feature her here now: Her work has a very strong identity, every paint splatter like a signature. She's an artist who's in it for the long run, better yet, she doesn't have a choice.
Laughing is good, and that is what Adam Mclevey made us do with pulling a Banksy on Banksy at the Banksy vs Bristol Museum expo. Pulling pranks on the prankster, just how we like it.Of course, there is more behind this artist then just pranks, and browsing through his amazing work on Flickr we decided to ask him ourselves.
If there is one thing we've learned, it's that you can't get the street out of the streetartist and you can't keep 'em of the streets either. The Dutch artists I AM DOOM proves it to it once again. Intrigued by the world of streetart in his younger years, he still grew up to become a lab researcher. Luckily, he couldn't let his creative aspirations die, and went on to pursue a career in design. Part of the mysterious collective Bwrah Bwrah, he remains roaming these streets, spawning his creatures.
