If there's one street artist that didn't stop amazing us in 2009, it's C215 aka Christian Guemy. The Parisian stencil artist with an undeniable unique cutting style has been a busy bee the past year! With many trips, shows, a forced pause by meningitis, collaborations and amazing work after work C215 has grown visibly. And if that wasn't enough Christian turned the neighborhood he resides in (Vitry-sur-seine) into a real street art gallery, inviting some of his favorite artists to paint the streets along side of him.

Overall 2009 showed amazing works of C215. His style evolved greatly, but he also had a few copycats along the way and even someone stealing one of his pieces right of the streets. Recently we started a series of articles dedicated on the year 2009 of C215. Enough reason to ask the man himself how he experienced 2009 and what he will be up to in 2010!

There was a time where we just had discovered Flickr and were amazed by the countless products of creativity we could find on there. We gathered as much things we liked as possible in our own pool, shutter crack, and blogged the best of that on shuttercrack.com. We still do that, but because of all the amazing work out there, we became less easy to impress. One photographer who never ceizes to amaze us though, is the French Stéphane Giner. Stéphane's work is breathtaking, intense portraits, real street scenes and challenging urban explorations are just a few of the works you can find in his photostream. Since Stéphane keeps on impressing us, it was about time we did an interview with him!

Even though it's an ocean out there, filled with creatives, it seems like real talent always finds a way to the surface. We already told you quite a bit about the talent we feature today: Liliwenn. Liliwenn was our artist of the week for the exact same reason we feature her here now: Her work has a very strong identity, every paint splatter like a signature. She's an artist who's in it for the long run, better yet, she doesn't have a choice.

It must have been a little over a year ago when Chris Guemy, aka C215, drew my attention. It was on the streets of Barcelona where I first laid eyes on his work, and honestly it stopped me dead in my tracks. Even in a city like Barcelona, which is filled with pieces, installations, stickers and stencils this work stood out clearly. A week later I found more of his work, freshly painted in Amsterdam and the fascination with this Parisian artist was complete. BeatauCue is where Alexis and Alexandre transform themself from humanoids into electronic circuitsare. They are two new upcoming Dj's/producers from Caen, France. With an Electro House, Electronical style they make pretty good tracks for 2 years now. Their tracks are filled with energy, and got us excited to find out more about them. Funny thing is that they personally scrapped some interview questions from the list, claiming they were not interesting enough. Only for that they deserve an interview haha. Also BeatauCue has no record label yet so keep an eye one them when they do! Remember where you saw them first!
