It hasn't been long since crackforyoureyes.com got re-designed from a image slideshow to a full-on street art weblog, but we thought it was already time for the first redesign! Next to a clearer, better loading design we also did our very best to get all the content well categorized for your browsing pleasure. Check it out at http://www.crackforyoureyes.com. Of course, feedback, tips and material are always welcome.

Not so long ago my friend Ivesone told me to keep an eye out for the young and talented Roy Schreuder. Roy is from the northern part of Holland, where they basically speak another language, rock wooden shoes and don't know what a Tram is (okay not totally true, but I'm trying to paint a picture here). There's a sick graff scene out there , but a non-existent street art scene except for Roy. Even though he's quite alone in his practice of street art up north he does well, really well! Actually, since I've been following his work I dare to say that you too should be keeping track of this guy because he has the talent and ambition to rise up from the overwhelming sea of street artists out there.

x999-3

I first met [X] and 999" this past spring during a backstage stenciling session at the closing party for the Vinyl Factory exhibit in Rome, where you'll see below they sprayed everything from records to serving trays. I figured it only fitting that for my first contribution to CFYE I turn the spotlight on them, as they’re both participating in the Unholy Grail exhibit opening Friday. They're just two of a number of talented artists from Termoli, a small town on Italy's Adriatic coast, which strangely seems to churn out quite a bit of talent. Here's what I found out about them (translated from original Italian).

What do you see when you think about Tehran? Up uintill recently my mind pretty much drew a blank on that one, except news images of a green revolution I had no idea what was going on in the daily lives of people in the Iranian capital. Now I see the works of A1one. This artist has been doing street art before he even knew street art existed anywhere else in the world. As one of the pioneers in Iranian graffiti, his goal is not to make political statements, but rather focus on the social aspect of life. The sollitude of this artists make for a unique style with a great deal of influences. At the other hand, this disconnection with the rest of the world takes its toll on an artist with a free mind.

One of the perks of CFYE is getting in contact with all this raw talent from across the globe. The talent we feature today has been doing his things since the 80's and became a household name in the UK graff scene: Trans1. Trans1 is known for his amazing photo-realistic skills in black and white. He definitely is amongst my favorite artists and it was about time we showcased some of his works here!

Britain's got talent. And with talent I don't just mean singing housewifes, but they've got some lads with talent in their fingers as well! Today another one who's been doing this for quite a while: Riot68, an ace of all trades. Not only has he got sick characters, he also has an amazing abstract letter style and is responsible for a small army of custom designer toys as well. Enjoy this spam wth Riot68!

A mix between electro tunes, industrial steel, cranes, electricity masts and urban landscapes. That's what I'd say if someone would ask me to explain what the works of Graphic Surgery look like. This two-man collective has an abstract style which is undeniably unique. In 1999 they've started working together under the name EHGZ which now grew out to their own design studio. For their free work they use the name Graphic Surgery, which also says a lot about how they work. They're masters of different media, and in every one they work with the same surgical precision. Even though they've been going strong for a while, I just recently encountered their works and was instantly intrigued.

With some artist you just know painting is what keeps them sane, and I bet this goes for Bam-Boo as well. With some crazy painting and portraits skill, this young UK-based talent looks forward to every day he's able to paint. With a love for hiphop and much respect to the master and all the talend around he progresses day by day. With the talent he already has it's clear that we're dealing with a future legend if he keeps on going strong like this. Time for the spam!

nine-o-5

There's been a flood in the UK lately, loads of places got hit by a massive amount of the infamous pink stickers. There are several sources distributing CFYE in the UK, but there might be one who is the most notable: Nine-O. We have yet to meet the good man, but reliable sources tell us there are not many more people who are so enthusiastic when talking about street art/graffiti. Not only an artist himself, but a big fan as well, he became CFYE ambassador in the UK in no time. Not only that, he also blogs on crackforyoureyes.com every once in a while. More then enough reason to give him a proper introduction!

The UK scene is amazing right now, there's so much talent coming from there..it's mindblowing. Also, in some areas like Bristol, the general attitude towards street art seemed to have shifted and people start to appreciate it a lot more. Things like the Banksy expo in the Bristol Museum and events like Upfest seemed to be the turning point. Of course this wouldn't have been possible without the massive amount of talented artists rising up in the UK scene right now. And even though there is such a huge number of artists coming out from the UK, there are always those who stand out. Snik is one of those people who do, and is destined to do great things with his painting skills! Not too long ago he painted the Royal Albert Hall as part of the wonderland collective, and a little while after that an amazing job at the Armani Exchange store in London. About time we'd send the good man some questions, and luckily he even found the time to answer.
