Debilorithmicos ft Sid Polack & Sneaky – Loser for you

I think 3 years ago we received an New Years card from our homey Lukasz Polowczyk from 44Flavours. Ever since then we consider him a good friend of ours, although we never have met. I think he’s one of the few who actually knows my name and is interested in what we’re doing. So when a couple of days ago I received another one I almost knew it was something nice. And so it was!

With the new release “Loser for you” on Molts Records Debilorithmicos and Sneaky focus their treatments on organic and multi layered soul. The Debilorithmicos duo (Josh Fontan and Joan Pedrosa) from Barcelona gets their inspiration from any musical style. Great masters of the art of diggin, have sampled vintage spanish artists such as Isabel Pantoja, Camilo Sesto or Juanito Valderrama with funky breaks, broken beat and dancehall. The result: a fresh and compelling merger, beyond any label. After 7 years of touring the world and 3 albums on Grand Central and Ninja Tune, Sneaky moved to Berlin to continue his musical inspiration. He has collaborated with artists like Mary Grace, Mr Scruff or Andy Votel.

Little is known about the vocalist  Sid Polack on this release. However his vocal qualities are reflected with great care and gentleness in Loser For You; a sad but bright song. The whispering and singing lewd phrases accompanying Sneaky’s cello lines is the soundtrack for the coming cold windy winter days. Make also sure to check out the remixes Judah and Check one came up with!
