New stuff by Chase

I am a big fan of street / stencil artist Chase! Partly because of his uplifting messages and colourful work that never fails to make me smile, partly because the man himself is so full of energy and always out and about! Whatever side-projects street artist Chase might have to do, painting on the streets is what he the most, and that shows. He makes his environment (Los Angeles) a nicer and friendlier place on a daily basis. This is what makes Chase a…Read More »

QR Code Street Art

DSC_0055
To most QR codes are known as an advertising technique. When you scan a QR code with the camera of your smartphone it will probably point you to some sort of advertising or promotion. Street artist ‘QR’ came across the phenomenom of QR codes and decided to use them in an artisctic manner. Español: Para la mayoría los códigos QR son conocidos como una técnica publicitaria. Al escanear un código QR con la cámara de su teléfono inteligente probablemente le llevara a algún tipo de…Read More »

Eime, from Portugal, has always liked to paint and draw, but only when started in street art is that it all started to make more sense. In 2003 I began to paint graffiti but did not last long until I realized that was not quite what I liked. When I moved to Lisbon I started to get involved and enter my work in street art. I started doing a lot of posters and stickers at home and alone or with friends I stuck in…Read More »

Isaac Cordal – Ceme...

This is also the case with the good people behind book publisher carpetbombingculture and the talented artist Isaac Cordal, hailing from Spain but now living in London. Isaac’s work is nothing short of amazing. He creates small cement sculptures that take form of miniature people. Placed in the right context…Read More »

But he is all of that, and plenty more! Wayne breaks out of any box you try to put him in, with surprisingly versatile tools. Just take his website, which is a collection of artwork on his own! Originally Wayne comes from germany, but he has been living in Amsterdam…Read More »
South-African street artist Ricky-Lee Gordon aka FreddySam is a true inspiration! He creates fantastic murals and uses his powers for good in and around Cape Town. His works are a prime example of uplifting neighbourhoods to a new level by street art. Recently CNN did a fantastic cover on FreddySam, giving him some well deserved credit. (also check the video above).  Besides being an uplifting artist himself, he also offers other artists a chance to work and experience South-Africa…Read More »

Burning Saxony

Have a look at the Burning Saxony crew from (where else) Saxony, Germany! Burning Saxony is actually a collective of crews, so to say, and some of their skilled writers will stop over in the most amazing city in the world: Amsterdam, for the Urban Art Muralism event. (18 to 27th of March, be there). Burning Saxony is an ongoing project, a selection of graffiti artists from all…Read More »

Boa Mistura

Loving the works and video’s of spanish writer team Boa Mistura. They’ve got a whole lot of video’s of their work going on, and I liked this one in particular because of the honest and down to earth concept; painting the people you see around them, dignity by portraiture so to say. Check more on their Vimeo channel. Via Miya Eerian
