A pioneer is someone who is willing and committed to go into unknown territory without a manual or a map - to take part in a course of action that leads the way for others to follow. Max Pioneer is that type of guy, he shows us a part of Moscow that can't be found in any guide or lonely planet edition. All travel agency's do is talk about the Kremlin, snow and intense freezing cold. But u would imagine that there is more to see, any metropolitan area has little something that attracts certain kind of people (our people). Max shows us  a part of that sunny side, when the green fields are flourishing with home-brew liquids cute furry animals, hopping around craving for some attention.

For us it's unbelievable, but nowadays there are still quite some people who have no idea what light painting is. Picasso has done it, Eric Staller is a master in it, Pips-Lab has brought it to the public and nowadays the next generation has stood up to take it to a level beyond whatever you have seen before. We showed you our good friend Dana (TCB) who introduced us to the world of light painting, we showed you the amazing Fiz-Iks crew doing things we've never seen before, we showed you Cindi & Austin Poole and last but not least we've showed you the amazing, energetic Matt ‘earsaregood' Crawford who ties everything together with his film 'luminary' and energy and actually shows us there is a movement going on. We absolutely believe this movement is only at its beginning and that's why we will keep on uncovering fresh artist who are bringing this all to a next level.

Aeschleah (ash-lee-uh) was born April 10, 1984 in a small town called Twain Harte, CA. In 1999, she moved to Los Angeles with her father. She made art from the time she could pick up a crayon, but she didn't discover her undying passion for photography until high school. She graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2007 with a BFA in Photography and has since been working as a professional photographer. She stays true to the trade by shooting film, which seems to be quite the rarity these days. Her photographs tell stories. They're filled with emotions, fantasies, and stereotypes. Her pictures are like fortune cookies waiting to be cracked open to discover the hidden message inside. If you look closely, you're bound to find something deeper than what appears on the surface. Just look.

"90% of the time i shoot film (unless it's for a silly job). i shoot mostly with my Mamiya 7II, but i also shoot with a large format view camera or my yashica point and shoot."

We recently came across a certain gentleman in our shuttercrack group, turns out he's a respected member of the Pistoleers. A mystic bond dating back from times when camera's where the sizes of small houses and flashes where mad out of fireballs. At least that is what we've been told, if it's true who will know. But we're eager to find out, so we wrote sir Petrucci a letter to enlighten us.

"You can't just rely on the idiosyncrasies of film as a cheap crutch to make good pictures, it doesn't work that way."

At the beginning of 2009 I saw this young lady crawling, climbing, ducking and performing other cool gymnastics moves on stage that I wish my body could do. After figuring out she was not part of the horrible venue's back up dancers, but was operating a camera like there was no tomorrow, I knew this could be something special. Rosa Maria Koolhoven works under the name of Nikanika.com. She lives in Utrecht and is in her final year of Graphic Design at the HKU High School of Arts Utrecht. During weekends she likes to take pictures at parties, of which 80% are dubstep parties.

Born in 1979 Sander Meisner is an Amsterdam based photographer, specialized in medium format film photography using long exposures and found artificial light. He photographs the urban contemporary landscape. Sander Meisner is a night walker, venturing out into the city discovering colorful beauty in the desolate corners of the gray man made structures. He exposes the sleeping infrastructure of the urban environment. Gifted with a feeling for composition and detail, Sander is turning these usually overlooked corners into objects of desire. The lack of light and extremely long exposure of the photographic film add a secondary effect; any interaction of human movement becomes totally invisible. Therefore, his pictures make us wonder what of this beauty will remain if human life would suddenly disappear. How long will infrastructure last when not regularly maintained and when will nature take over?

If traveling is a job then Ed Schofield would be employee of the month. This young photographer from a small town just south of good old London UK, has spend most of his time traveling around the world. Accompanied by his close friends and camera he sets sail to explore and document the world through his viewfinder. The result is a everlasting 2 frames a day documentary about his adventurous life. We took our chance to conduct an interview with this neo Jules Verne while he was back on solid ground.

Interested by the human psyche, obscurity and those tender, glorified moments of absence, Helen Flanagan work portraits the intensity of loneliness that we human beings like to close our eyes for. The general dreamy atmosphere of composition and used palette of loamy colors makes every photo look like a still from a dream. This photography is maybe not for everyone, but we really appreciate it. Turn of the lights, get a glass of whiskey and put on a Nick Drake record.

Meagan Long is twenty-one years old and from the eighteenth largest city in the U.S. Young and confused. Old and worldly. She knows who she is, but knows nothing about anyone else. She has everyone figured about, but is foreign to herself. Hasn't learned enough about the world. Has learned too much. Too much to care yet cares too much. Has lost faith in everything but still loves. Sometimes depressed yet mostly happy. Because there is one thing. One thing that she can't move past that leaves her waiting every time. Over and over again. It never moves past her mind, circling every waking moment. And even in her dreams. Not a nightmare, just a state of being in consciousness and unconsciousness. It is the basis of everything she says and everything she does. Everything she wants to learn, everywhere she wants to go. Her reason for leaving, her reason for staying. The inspiration behind all her work. It is the death and the life. Got curious? We did...

If I had to describe Tang Chan's work in one word I would say: distance. Even though she shoots portraits most of the time, there is a certain space between the viewer and the subject in her work. I stumbled upon her through a shuttercrack submission and fell instantley in love with her portfolio. You can see her work in real life at the CFYE "Spirit Level" exposition in Amsterdam during this month. Now first a interview with the great Tang herself.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
