I can imagine that they need to recharge in Finland during the summer, that's probably the reason why it's so loaded with festivals! Today something about Konemetsä. Konemetsä is an annual festival in the Finish forests which is all about good vibes and electro music. Sounds like fun? Joni's been there and shares his experiences with us! Cheers.
Typical Finnish summer ambience: sun doesn't go down, people are drunk and weather is cold.
01.[accessibility]
Konemetsä is in the middle of a forest deep in Finlands countryside, but you can get there easily by bus from Helsinki or Tampere. I went by car from Jyväskylä because I live there.
02. [first impression]
It looked like electronic music festival. Lots of hippies with strange clothes. Music playing all night long. All the visual stuff is really well made. Really great place for photographers.
03. [ambience]
Typical Finnish summer ambience: sun doesn't go down, people are drunk and weather is cold.
04. [audience]
All kinds of people, but mainly techno-hippies. Lots of characters.
05. [performance]
I didn't really listen the artists that much :) If you like the genre, you will love this festival.
06. [interestingness]
What was the most interesting performance that you saw : Huoratron.
07. [food & beverage]
Quite expensive. Bring your own food & drinks.
08. [facilities]
Restrooms were fine. There was also a sauna for the adventurous people. Shower was freezing cold :)
09. [coolness factor]
Lots of things happening... see for yourself if intrested:
10. [ conclusion]
I think I have seen this festival and will not go next year. Lots of weird festivals in Finland that I haven't been in.
11, [anything]
