One could find subtle nuances in the facial expressions of those people and take a guess what might have caused them. Human curiosity is the sole motive that leads us to discover undiscovered and unexpected. In those spontaneous moments that these snapshots were taken there is plenty of it..." - Bogdan Seredyak

"I (Alyssa Noches) have, and always will be, riveted and compelled by the tactile sense of individual feeling and the passion and sadness of human emotion.  We not only exist, but seem to leave behind a glimmer of ephemeral dust, a transient trail, that only a camera’s quick snap can freeze. The slightest brush of a hand, or hair falling across a cheek, maybe the feeling of sun on one’s skin or the loss of something dear. The careful release of a shutter can also combine or separate what is real, imagined or what could have been.  "

All of these photos were taken during a visit to a friend's house in Glenwood Springs. The photos tell bits of these stories themselves. And that's the whole point.

I initially snapped her from across side alley as she fed the birds, and then went to talk to her. Her creatures in the middle of their feed, disturbed took flight in fear at a stranger. Soon returning to the business at hand once they’d seen I posed no threat.

After the mega succes of #001 with DJ Sabo we proudly present to you the second edition of our mixtape serie. Our superstar lady from Buenos Aires Alta Joya hooked us up with a smashing blend of tunes. For you who don't know Alta Joya yet (shame on you) we did an interview with her, wich you can read here. She gives us a musically sneek peek in her life and a global idea of the cultural dynamics in Argentina.

It must not have been easy to get permission for ten massive walls to be painted. It must especially not have been easy to do so when it is normally being seen as vandalism. The people behind Caramundo got the permission and the results are to be seen in and near the city centre of Rotterdam. As part of R.U.A. Festival, street artists from Brazil were invited to show and paint their work on these walls and did so during July and August. Rua is the Portuguese word for street and that's exactly what it is all about.

In CFYE columns you will meet the thoughts of interesting and inspiring people from our network. This time we have Pagani from Sao Paulo, Brazil. A photographer who also likes to make music and knows how to elevate his intense work and subjects to and comfortable level for us to digest.

It's been a while since we've heard of the crew, but they've sent of pictures of their time in the US. The last we heard, they were deported out of there for causing mayhem, and are now heading to France. Seeing the pictures, we're guessing they've had fun in the Lone star state.

A small word from the man who was lucky enough to be their photographer and live, Matt Crawford: "I should start with mad props to Trevor and the entire Fiz-iks crew for generating the concept for The Orbacle and then finding the masks for The Crew. The entire thing is well conceptualized and looks great. I really like emphasizing the potential for storytelling in a long exposure shot. Stringing along an international story development process is a magnificent thing, the possibilities are literally endless.....with The Crew Fiz-iks provided a very exotic looking cast, a strong story line, and freedom to continue the narrative thread in any direction. So, it's like a perfect project and I am very honored to have been able to play a small part. I can't wait to see how it all develops....."
